Twitter buys application of lock screen smartphone

The Twitter bought the company that created the app to the lock screen of Android smartphones Cover system, the microblogging announced on Monday (7).

The purchase price was not disclosed. Twitter also has not indicated what he will do with the company’s technology. The purchase was confirmed through a tweet on Twitter.

The Cover was created by former Google employees in October 2013 and features six applications most used by the user that can be accessed quickly from the lock screen of the device. The “app” also suggests applications to present this daily based on user activity or place where he is at home or at work, for example screen.

Facebook tried to launch an experience for the lock screen smartphones with Facebook Home, but was not successful while having little user adoption of smartphones with Android system.
