Samsung launches new Galaxy S5 with 16 MP camera and fingerprint reader

The Samsung launched on Monday (24) its new top of the line smartphone, the Galaxy S5 during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

The handset features a more advanced camera, a network connection more advanced tools for monitoring physical activity of its users and protection settings deeper.

The rear camera of the device is capable of 16 megapixels and the autofocus system makes adjusting the images in 0.3 seconds. The front camera is 2 MP. To raise the quality of the captured images, the device plays natural light in any lighting condition.

The Galaxy S5 has high-definition 5.1-inch, 1920 pixels by 1080 pixels. 
‘s battery of 2800 mAh unit allows using the device for 390 hours or 21 hours of talk time. The operating system that equips the new smartphone is Android 4.4.2 Kitkat.

The dimensions of the phone are 142 mm x 72.5 mm x 8.1 mm. The device weighs 145 grams. The RAM memory of the device is 2 GB and internal storage capacity can be 16 GB or 32 GB.

The Galaxy S5 is waterproof. Like the iPhone 5S, a new smartphone from Samsung has a fingerprint scanner. The biometric feature to improve the security of the device is used to unlock the device and to ensure safer transactions for purchase made with the phone.

The fitness tools monitor the behavior of users during physical activities such as pedometer, record exercise and diet tips, plus a new heart rate monitor.

To enhance connectivity, the new device features a system that improves Internet connection via Wi-Fi and increases support to bands of LTE technology, responsible for Internet fourth generation (4G).

Moreover, the device lets you download faster with an accelerator that integrates Wi-Fi and LTE simultaneously.
