Microsoft releases Office suite for iPad


The Microsoft launched this Thursday (27) the iPad version of the Office suite of offices. The Word, Excel and PowerPoint applications will be available for download on the Apple App Store still on Thursday. The download is free.

According to Satya Nadella, president of Microsoft, the launch shows the company’s focus on mobile devices and the cloud. “Our goal is to make everything the user needs to be in the cloud for easy access and improving the work.” This was the first presentation conducted by Nadella took over the presidency after the technology company.

In Excel you can create charts and graphs easily using fingers and transfer into PowerPoint for a presentation. All three applications will be integrated. The presentation program even lets you turn your finger into a laser pen to point terms on the screen during a meeting or using virtual pens to take notes, for example.

However, only the file access for reading and presentation will be free with Office apps. To create new files and edit them, you must have an Office 365 subscription, which costs $ 209 per year.
